Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival Events

JRMF Workshop, organized by Daniel Kline, Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival; Friday, 2:00 – 3:30 pm. We will briefly introduce JRMF, its mission, and JRMF's 2022 offerings. We will then break the attendees up into small groups so that they can experience the math festival for themselves. Each group will be guided through one of JRMF's mathematical games, puzzles, or activities using a discovery-based, student-centered approach. JRMF's activities are designed to provide mathematical problem-solving experiences that foster agency, collaboration, and play, all of which have been shown in literature to improve confidence and skill acquisition in the math classroom. At the end of the session, we will share resources with participants so that they can share fun and meaningful mathematical activities with their own communities.

The Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival will also provide engaging activities during the Grand Opening Reception on Wednesday evening and in the JMM Exhibits on Saturday, January 8.
