Lyryx

Special Session featuring Lyryx technology for teaching Linear Algebra - AMS Special Session on Innovative and Effective Ways to Teach Linear Algebra

When: Saturday, April 9, 1:30 pm - 3:20 pm; 1:30 pm - Engaging Students with the "Textbook"! (Claude Laflamme, University of Calgary & Lyryx Learning)

Maplesoft

Webinar - Maple Learn: the easiest way to create interactive online content for any course that involves math!; presented by Nadia Sid, Product Management Specialist, Maplesoft

When: Wednesday, April 6, 2022 11:00 am - Noon, Pacific Time

Registration: Register in advance for this meeting here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Description: Ideal for any course involving math, the Maple Learn platform allows you to create course documents, demonstrate, illustrate, and also generate exercises. Maple Learn puts all the writing, visualisation, solving, and interactive tools needed for mathematics at your fingertips.

Teachers and students use it as if they were at a whiteboard or notebook, while having the power of a dedicated tool to manipulate mathematical objects, plot, calculate, check their solution steps, and also share their documents.

Join this webinar to discover Maple Learn for yourself. You will learn how to:

  • Create interactive documents to illustrate mathematical concepts such as integrals, differentials and vectors
  • Create content for your students ranging from simple explorations of graphs and problems to solve, to complete lessons that require maths skills
  • Create exercises for students
  • Share documents with your students and comment on the documents they share with you

National Science Foundation

National Science Foundation The Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) supports a wide range of research in mathematics and statistics aimed at developing and exploring the properties and applications of mathematical structures. Most of these projects are conducted by single investigators or small groups of investigators working with graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. DMS investments also support training through research involvement of the next generation of mathematical scientists, conferences and workshops, and a portfolio of national mathematical sciences research institutes.
